Stardust Final Conference – Call for Contributions


The Final Stardust Conference welcomes contributions presenting recent results on any of the
following topics:


  • Orbital and Attitude Dynamics Modelling
  • Long Term Orbit and Attitude Evolution
  • Particle Cloud Modelling and Simulation
  • Collision and Impact Modelling and Simulation
  • Re-entry Modelling and Simulation
  • Asteroid Origins and Characterisation
  • Orbit and Attitude Determination
  • Impact Prediction and Risk Analysis
  • Mission Analysis- Proximity Operations
  • Active Removal/Deflection Control Under Uncertainty
  • Active Removal/Deflection Technologies
  • Asteroid Manipulation
within the framework of the following confirmed symposia:
  • Re-entry Analysis and Design for Demise - University of Strathclyde
  • Asteroids - Astronomical Observatory of Belgrade
  • Space Robotics for Asteroid Exploration and Debris Mitigation/Remediation - German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI)

Contributions will be accepted based on the quality of the extended abstract (2/3 pages), the originality of the work and/or ideas. Contributions will be submitted and managed through a Conference Management System (a link will be available soon in the Submission page of the Conference).

Accepted and amended Extended Abstracts will be included into an electronic book of Extended Abstracts, distributed to the attendees at the registration desk of the Conference. Possible full papers, presenting unpublished work and to be submitted after the Conference, will be published as a book of Proceedings or within the framework of Journal Special Issues associated to the symposia. Details will be posted in the web page of the conference soon.

The Final Stardust Conference can be followed through internet media as well. Authors will be asked to specify their preferred way of attending during the registration process. 

The working language for the conference is English.

IMPORTANT DATES:
5th September 2016 (it was 31st July 2016): Deadline for extended abstracts submission
19th 23rd September 2016: Authors notifications
26th September 3rd October 2016: Deadline for normal registration
23rd October 2016: Deadline for the submission of the amended extended abstracts
31st Oct – 4th Nov 2016: Final Stardust Conference


REGISTRATION:
All conference attendees must register and pay the corresponding registration fee.
For each accepted contribution at least one registration as presenting author is required.
The presenting author must register by 26th September 3rd October 2016 to ensure the inclusion of the contribution in the Conference Programme.
